    2. I really didn't understand until I read this book how much rock music can be a bad influence in our Christian life. I learned that the "rock beat" was originally made to worship satan and call upon him and his demons. There are a lot of people who shared their experiences with rock music and how it kept them on the wrong path by turning to drugs, pornography, stealing, etc. It did nothing for them, but pull them to satan and his lies, instead of Christ and His truths.     3. Some of the discussions in this book were great. Some were terrible. While true rock has never appealed to me, I know people who were addicted to it. But it's the same for alcohol; some can enjoy it the way the Bible talks about and some can't without becoming hooked. Many of the principles discussed for overcoming addiction were good (i.e. memorizing Scripture) but the assumption is that all music with a backbeat is wicked and has pagan origins designed to excite our fleshly lusts.
